Yuba College wins in wild one
Yuba College coach Tim Gloyd called it, "one of the wildest games I've ever seen."
The 49ers' baseball team gave up nine runs in the first three innings to Laney, then mounted an unbelievable comeback late on Thursday.
Yuba (8-13, 4-7) scored three runs in the seventh and seven runs in the eighth to edge the home team, 10-9.
With a full count and his team down 9-7, Chris Stocker belted a bases-loaded triple to right-center to give Yuba the lead in the eighth.
"It was crushed. It hit the fence," Gloyd said. "They should have walked him."
Stocker finished 3 for 4 with four RBIs, while Anthony Stolo also went 3 for 4.
Todd Borcher relieved Geoff MacPherson in the seventh to earn the win on the mound.
