Yuba baseball rolls Comets
Yuba College's baseball team didn't forget to bring the bats on Monday.
The 49ers (9-12, 5-8) crushed the Contra Costa College Comets 13-2 at Gary Engelken Field in Bay Valley Conference action, highlighted by back-to-back home runs from Chris Stocker and Joe Garcia in the seventh inning.
Anthony Stolo and Alex Cervantes both went 2 for 5 and Devon Fujioka and Tony Guidara each finished 2 for 4 at the plate for Yuba.
49ers' starting pitcher Jake Johnson tossed a complete game and the two runs he allowed were unearned. Johnson finished off the Comets with 93 pitches, four strikeouts and he walked two.
