Yuba baseball, softball both winners

The 49ers took an early lead and never looked back.

Colusa High grad Brandon Rader was 2 for 3 with two RBIs and the Yuba College baseball team scored six of its runs in the first three innings to top Marin 8-1 at home on Tuesday.

AZ Sutton was 2 for 5 and Joe Garcia went 2 for 5 with a double for the 49ers (11-19 overall, 7-12 Bay Valley Conference).

For the first time this season, the 49ers have a winning streak.

Jackie Sizemore was 5 for 9 with four RBIs to lead Yuba to a BVC doubleheader sweep over the Comets on the road.

Shelby DeLeon was 3 for 5 in the opener and Emily Correa was 2 for 4 with a double, triple and five RBIs in the nightcap for Yuba (3-25, 3-13).
