40th anniversary: Correa

Yuba City residents Richard and Christine Correa, the former Christine June Anderson, are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary with a weekend in Santa Rosa and, later, a tropical cruise.

The couple were married Jan. 22, 1972, at the Chapel of the Holy Dove in Flagstaff, Ariz., and have been Yuba-Sutter residents for 31 years.

He retired as a drafting/mathematics professor at Yuba College. A graduate of Northern Arizona University, he received a master's degree in industrial technology from California State University, Long Beach.

She retired as a registered nurse at Rideout Memorial Hospital. In addition to receiving her registered nurse degree from CSU Sacramento, she attended Northern Arizona University and Yuba College and graduated from CSUS Stanislaus.

They have two children, Lara Memmott of Paradise and Richard Correa of Woodland; and six grandchildren.
