50th Anniversary: Dunlop

Yuba City residents David and Susan Dunlop, the former Susan Gross, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

They are planning a cruise with their entire family to Alaska.

The couple were married June 16, 1962, at St. John's Episcopal Church in Marysville and are lifelong Yuba-Sutter residents.

He retired from a career in teaching and administration after 36 years in the Wheatland and Yuba City school districts and now works for Brandman University in Yuba City.

In addition, he is past president of the Yuba City Noon Kiwanis Club and past lieutenant governor of Kiwanis in California.

Retired from a teaching career after 25 years in the Marysville school district, she also worked as a Sunday school superintendent at St. John's for 10 years.

She is a member of Delta Kappa Gamma International Society and a 51-year member of Chapter LS, P.E.O. Sisterhood.

Both are members of the California Retired Teachers Association.

Their family includes two children, Brian Dunlop of Granite Bay and Andrea McAfee of Roseville; and four granddaughters.
