50th Anniversary: Page

Yuba City residents Charles "Chuck" and Miriam Page, the former Miriam Conroy, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows at St. Therese Church at South Lake Tahoe.

The Rev. Frances Hernandez-Gomez, former pastor at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Yuba City, is officiating.

The couple were married June 23, 1962, at St. Emydius Church in Lynwood and have been Yuba-Sutter residents for 27 years.

He retired from a career in corrections after 38 years, last serving as deputy director at the California Board of Corrections.

She retired as the administrative secretary for the Yuba County Probation Department. Previously she worked in administrative positions with the Orange County Probation Department and Beckman Medical Instruments.

Both are active in several ministries at St. Isidore Catholic Church, with pro-life groups, the California Catholic Legislative Network and help other parishes in the Diocese of Sacramento.

They have five children, Geoffrey of Yuba City, Jennifer of Colusa, Juliana of Monterey, Stephanie of Des Moines, Iowa, and Marcus of Albuquerque, N.M.

Their family also includes nine grandchildren.
