35th Anniversary: Mallen

May 13, 2006 - Yuba City residents John and Judi Mallen, the former Judi McDougall, are celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows at 5 p.m. today at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Yuba City.

The celebration is hosted by their children and grandchildren.

The couple were married May 15, 1971, at St. Anastasia's Catholic Church in Westchester and have been Yuba-Sutter residents for 28 years.

Together they own Mallen's Automotive in Yuba City and are members of and marriage preparation leaders at St. Isidore Catholic Church. They were named as the Sutter County Family of the Year in 2004.

He is a member of the Peach Bowl Lions Club, the Knights of Columbus and the Automotive Service Council.

She is a board member of A Woman's Friend and active with Yuba-Sutter Right to Life.

They have four children, John Mallen, Christine Fradis and Timothy Mallen, all of Yuba City, and Kevin Mallen of Loma Rica; and seven grandchildren.
