Briefs: Rideout under investigation

The state Department of Public Health confirmed this week it has an investigation into an issue at Rideout Regional Medical Center in Marysville.

Citing the ongoing nature of the investigation, state health officials said they could not be more specific about the investigation.

Officials with the California Nurses Association said they were unsure what the investigation was about, but said members who work at the hospital had filed official complaints with the state over more than one issue in recent weeks.

A message left with Rideout Health this week seeking further information was not returned.
