71st anniversary: Kissee
Yuba City residents CA and Clara Kissee, the former Clara Cain, plan to celebrate their 71st wedding anniversary with family.
The couple were married Nov. 1, 1941, in Reno, Nev., and are longtime Yuba-Sutter residents.
He retired from Operating Engineers after working about 27 years for Harms Bros. of Sacramento and is a member of the Eastern Star, the White Shrine and the Drum and Bugle Corp.
A World War II veteran, he is also a past master of the Yuba City Masonic Lodge.
She is retired after more than 15 years as a nurse for Sutter County Hospital and is a former member of the Odd Fellows/Rebekah Lodge.
Their family includes two children, Jeary Burnett of Santa Clara and Mary Hohman of Reno, Nev.; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
