What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? After serving in the Navy for four years I moved here from Sacramento. I didn't know the area; my mom got a house out here.

What do you like about the Yuba-Sutter area? That it's away from everything. People can't just pop in for a visit — it's too far.

Where would you like to retire to someday? The Fiji Islands or Australia — I've been there while I was in the Navy.

Where did you visit while you were in the Navy? I was stationed in Japan — I have been to Hong Kong, Malaysia, Guam, Moscow, to Paris twice and Singapore.

Anyplace else you would like to visit? I would like to go to Egypt.

What is the closest you've been to a famous person? I met Jason Thompson from the Sacramento Kings — I was at Full Court Restaurant in Sacramento.

After taking care of the basics, what would you do with a million dollars? Buy a midnight blue BMW 6 Series convertible.

Favorite sports team: The Dallas Mavericks. When I was younger I liked all the basketball teams and had to pick one — I liked the Mavericks' colors.

Who has had a strong influence in your life? My grandma.

Tell us about a memorable experience: Going into the military. I was happy to get out of Sacramento.

What did you want to be when you were a kid? A basketball player.

What is your dream job? NBA analyst.

What would you like to see different in the community? More jobs.

What is your pet peeve? A dirty house.

What do you like about yourself? My ambition, my drive....and my good looks, of course.
