Briefs: Craft fair is Saturday

The Bulldog Boutique Holiday Craft Fair and Touch-a-Truck event is from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at Franklin Elementary School, 332 N. Township Road, Yuba City.

Vendors will be set up in the multipurpose room selling crafts, jewelry and various food items.

For a $3 admission, children can take photos and sit in various vehicles such as a fire truck, police car and an ambulance.

All proceeds will benefit the Franklin Elementary School District Education Foundation that raises money for its educational programs.

King march in January

The 15th Annual the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unity March and Birthday Celebration is set in January in the Yuba-Sutter area, with participants traveling from Marysville to Yuba City.

The event on Jan. 19 starts at 10 a.m. at the Yuba County Courthouse, 215 Fifth St. in Marysville and ends at Crossroads Community Church, 445 B St. in Yuba City.

Council to name vet of the year

A local military veteran will be named as the Yuba-Sutter Veteran of the Year during the seventh annual Town Hall meeting sponsored by the Yuba Sutter United Veterans Council.

The event is from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Yuba County Government Center, 915 Eighth St., Marysville.

Also being honored are a civilian and a business who support local veterans.
