Briefs: New Year's Eve party planned
Music by the band Road Test is featured at the New Year's Eve dance and party hosted by the Foothill Lions Club.
The event, for ages 21 years and over, is from 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. Dec. 31 at the Lions clubhouse, 5667 Fruitland Road, Loma Rica.
Tickets are $10 per person.
The evening includes hors d'oeuvres, party favors and champagne at midnight.

Vacancies on several boards
Applications are being accepted for positions on the Sutter-Yuba Substance Abuse Advisory Board, the Sutter County Airport Advisory Committee and the Sutter County Fish and Game Advisory Committee.
There is one vacancy on each board.
Appointments on the board can be made on Dec. 17 or thereafter.
Applications can be picked up and returned to the clerk of the Sutter County Board of Supervisors, 1160 Civic Center Blvd., Yuba City.

Fundraiser run/walk set Jan. 5
The second annual Resolution 5K Color Run/Walk, to benefit the Harmony Health Family Resource Center, is set in Marysville.
The fundraiser on Jan. 5 is at 9 a.m., with registration starting at 8 a.m., at First and D streets in Marysville.
Registration is $25 per person.

Toy drive accepts donations
Donations are being collected for Children's Hope Foster Family Agency through Kelsey's Kids Toy Drive at Dairy Queen in Yuba City.
The family agency serves local children.
New unwrapped gifts are needed for all ages, with a special need for teenagers and ages infant to 2 years.
Donations can be dropped off until 3 p.m. Dec. 17 at 1375 Live Oak Blvd. in Yuba City.
