Business Briefs: Santa Claus holds court at Yuba Sutter Mall

Santa Claus continues to hold court today and on Christmas Eve at the Yuba Sutter Mall, available to hear children and their wishes for the holiday.

Children can visit him from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. today and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday.

Yuba City tattoo shop aiding Newtown

Lost Soul Tattoo Studio, at 657 Plumas St. in Yuba City, is one of several studios in California and Nevada raising funds for the shooting victims in Newtown, Conn.

Studio owner Leo Jimenez said the artists plan to tattoo during regular business hours, noon-9 p.m. today, and donate all profits to aid the affected families.

The two-day fundraising effort started Saturday, with the donations directed to the Western Connecticut Health Network Foundation.
