‘Gifts of Worship’ services planned

A service of “Gifts of Worship” is set Jan. 6 at Calvary Christian Center, 2620 Colusa Highway, in Yuba City.

The church’s worship services will be held at 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday and Jan. 6. The church is led by Pastor Michael A. Ciociola.

Catholic ladies plan card party

The annual card party and luncheon hosted by the Catholic Ladies Relief Society No. 4 is planned at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 12 at St. Bernadette’s Hall, 745 Ware Ave., Colusa.

Card games include whist, bridge and pinochle. A raffle and prizes for high scores are also part of the festivities.

The cost is $15 per person, with reservations recommended. All proceeds go toward the society’s charity efforts.

New Year’s Eve concert set

Inspirational music is featured in the New Year’s Eve Concert hosted by Crossroads Community Church, 445 B St., Yuba City.

The free event, starting at 7 p.m. Dec. 31, includes a chili, soup and cornbread cook-off, singer Dennis Agajanian and comedian Nazareth as well as games, food and desserts.
