Felony Arrests

Joseph M. Desmond, 31, of the 1100 block of Galaxy Way, Yuba City, was arrested by the Sutter County Sheriff's Department at 5:15 p.m. Jan. 2 in the 1000 block of Civic Center Boulevard on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant. He was booked into the Sutter County Jail.

Javier M. Contreras, 31, of the 1600 block of Esplanade Way, Yuba City, was arrested by the Yuba City Police Department at 10:35 p.m. Jan. 1 at his home on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant and making criminal threats. He was booked into the Sutter County Jail.

Suree Hayes, 45, of the 800 block of Clark Avenue, Yuba City, was arrested by the Yuba City Police Department at 3:15 a.m. Jan. 3 on Clark Avenue and Ellis Way on suspicion of controlled substance possession. She was booked into the Sutter County Jail.

Margaret "Rosie" Wheeler, 23, of Marysville, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol at 9:57 p.m. Jan. 3 on Highway 20 on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale. She was booked into the Yuba County Jail.

Joshua P. Mannion, 28, of the 8000 block of Smartsville Road, Smartsville, was arrested by the Yuba County Sheriff's Department at 6:15 p.m. Jan. 3 at his home on suspicion of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant. He was booked into the Yuba County Jail.

Kristopher B. Keency, 38, of the 2800 block of Bear River Drive, Rio Oso, was arrested by the Wheatland Police Department at 2:45 p.m. Jan. 3 at Hooper and Olive streets on suspicion of transporting a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for sale. He was booked into the Yuba County Jail.

Jose M. Razo, 34, of the 800 block of Broadway Road, Olivehurst, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol at 10:40 a.m. Jan. 3 on North Beale Road on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale. He was booked into the Yuba County Jail.

Anthony Wright, 40, of Sacramento, was arrested by the Yuba City Police Department at 1:45 a.m. Jan. 4 on B Street on suspicion of controlled substance possession. He was booked into the Sutter County Jail.

Robert L. Reed, 60, of the 2200 block of Lincoln Road, Yuba City, was arrested by the Yuba City Police Department at 8 a.m. Jan. 3 at his home on suspicion of controlled substance possession, receiving stolen property and possession of a controlled substance for sale. He was booked into the Sutter County Jail.

Guljinder Singh, 42, of the 1900 block of Woodland Drive, Yuba City, was arrested by the Yuba City Police Department at 3:43 p.m. Jan. 2 in the 2000 block of Sanborn Road. He was booked into the Sutter County Jail.

Katie M. Bains, 21, of Gridley, was arrested by the Marysville Police Department at 11 p.m. Jan. 3 at Sixth and E streets. She was booked into the Yuba County Jail.
