Business Briefs: Space open for vendors at women's expo
Vendor applications are available for the Miss Bliss Golden Women's Expo in Yuba City featuring products and services related to women.
Applications, due by Feb. 6, can be found online at missblissevent .com.
With live stage demonstrations about health, beauty, home and family and the Handbag, Shoe and Eyewear Fashion Show, the event is slated Feb. 16 at the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds' Main Exhibit building.
This year's expo also includes a makeover contest. People can be nominated through Jan. 31 on the Appeal-Demo crat website, appealdemocrat.com. The public will vote online only.

First aid/CPR class Thursday at Farm Bureau
Classes in first aid/ CPR are scheduled this week at the Yuba-Sutter County Farm Bureau office, 475 Palora Ave., Yuba City.
The Cal OSHA-approved program on Thursday is slated at 8 a.m. in English and 1 p.m. in Spanish. Participants should wear comfortable clothing.
Certification is valid for two years.
The cost is $75 per person, with reservations and payment due by Tuesday.

Ag spraying safety seminar slated
Spray Safe, a program for farmers, employees, applicators and pest control advisers, is slated at the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds, sponsored by the Yuba-Sutter Farm Bureau.
The free event is set from 8:30 a.m.-noon Jan. 29 at 442 Franklin Ave., Yuba City.
Topics, in English and Spanish, include aerial application, safety communication and respirator-fit testing.
