48th Anniversary: Mehta

Longtime Yuba City residents Paul and Tripta Mehta are celebrating their 48th wedding anniversary with a family gathering in Las Vegas.
The couple were married Feb. 2, 1965, in Jalandhar City, Punjab, India, and have been Yuba-Sutter residents for 45 years.
A self-employed real estate broker and mobile notary in Yuba City, he retired in 1997 after working for the state of California.
He is also a director of the Yuba-Sutter Indo American Business Association.
She retired in 2005 from Sunsweet Growers Inc. in Yuba City and enjoys cooking and knitting.
Their family includes three children, Kiran Vaid and Anu Bali, both of Fremont, and David Mehta of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.
