What brought you to the Yuba-Sutter area? I graduated from Yuba City High School, moved away, then came back. We took over the tax business from my husband's grandfather.
What do you like about the Yuba-Sutter area? The small-town atmosphere. I'm not a city girl.
What is the closest you've been to a famous person? When Natalie Grant gave a free concert at Crossroads Community Church. My husband and I talked to her.
What would you do with a million dollars? Pay off my debts; build my parents a house; get the kids to college. Then invest and live off the interest.
What is your dream vacation? Go back to Hawaii and check out the other islands. Or go to Paris.
Who has had a strong influence in your life? God — he gets me through the tough times.
Do you have a favorite memory to share? The summer trip we took to the redwoods with my husband's mother before she passed away.
What did you want to be when you were a kid? A forest ranger. Anything but work in an office.
What are your favorite events in the area? I love Christian concerts.
What would you like to see different in the community? In the tax office I see how hard unemployment has hit the area, so I would like to see more people employed.
What is your pet peeve? I hate it when my kids chomp when they chew.
What do you like about yourself? I can get along with most people.
What are you reading right now? The "Eve Duncan" series by Iris Johansen.
Favorite television show when you were a kid: "The Swamp Fox," an old Disney series.
