AARP offers free tax aid
Free tax assistance in the Yuba-Sutter area has started at several sites in the community.
Sponsored by AARP Tax-Aide, the service for simple returns only will be held:
Participants are asked to bring their last year's return and all 2005 tax booklets received from the Internal Revenue Service and Franchise Tax Board.

In Yuba County, the Health and Human Services Department will provide free tax preparation for low-income residents through April 14.
The service will be available from 8:3o to 11 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m. at the Feather River Center, 6000 Lindhurst Ave., Suite 504, in Linda, and at the Yuba County One Stop, 1114 Yuba St., Marysville.
To be eligible, people must file 1040A or 1040EZ forms, not be self-employed, have less than $2,700 in investment income, have all documents for 2005 and identification.
