Michael S. Lawyer, 36, of Yuba City died July 6, 2005, at Mercy Folsom Hospital in Folsom.

Born in Yuba City, he was a lifelong Yuba-Sutter resident.

He was a general laborer and a member of the Union Local 185.

Survivors include his wife, Anita Lawyer of Yuba City; a daughter, Elizabeth Meredith of Yuba City; a son, Jeff Meredith of Yuba city; his father, Kenneth Lawyer of Yuba City; his mother and step father, Judy and Harold Steininger of Yuba City; a sister, Jessica Weldon of Yuba City; and a brother, Bryan Lawyer of England.

Donations may be made to the Michael S. Lawyer Memorial Fund in care of Sierra Central Credit Union, 820 Plaza Way, Yuba City, CA 95991.

Services: Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Holycross Memorial Services in Yuba City. A funeral service is scheduled at 4 p.m. Saturday at Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1460 Richland Road, Yuba City. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Sutter Cemetery, 7200 Butte Ave., Sutter.
