Marvin M. Long
Marvin Marshel Long, 77, of Yuba City died March 9, 2007, at his residence.
Born in Bonnerdale, Ark., he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 60 years.
Retired, he was a minister for 56 years. He founded Calvary Temple Assembly of God Church in Yuba City, where he was a pastor for 30 years.
He served as district presbyter and executive presbyter for the Northern California and Nevada District Council of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Long of Yuba City; four daughters, Nancy Tiff of Yuba City, Susan Martin of Sutter, Marceline Deaton of Gridley and Rebecca Scott of Rocklin; a brother, Don Long of Yuba City; a sister, Glenda Monte of Sacramento; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services: Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Ullrey Memorial Chapel in Yuba City. A service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Christian Center, Assembly of God Church, 2620 Colusa Highway, Yuba City. Burial will follow at Sutter Cemetery in Sutter.
