Yuba City resident Freda Lowrey is celebrating her 80th birthday with an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. today at Cornerstone Evangelical Church in Yuba City.
The celebration is hosted by her daughter and son-in-law, Judi and Stan Cantrill of Yuba City.
She was born Feb. 23, 1927, in Little Rock, Ark., and is a longtime Yuba-Sutter resident.
A 1945 graduate of Yuba City High School, she worked for “Ma Bell” and at Camp Beale before marrying Jerry Lowrey in 1948.
She is a member of Cornerstone Evangelical Church in Yuba City.
Her family also includes son Zane Lowrey of Chico, four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
