YUBA COLLEGE: 49ers baseball drops twinbill
Yuba throwers set record
One day after scoring four runs in the 11th inning in a victory over Feather River College, the Yuba College baseball team came up short on Saturday, losing both games of a doubleheader to the Golden Eagles at Appeal-Democrat Park in Marysville.
The 49ers lost the first game 9-3 before falling 6-1 in the second game, dropping them to 4-3 on the year.
"It was kind of a letdown," Yuba coach Brian Baisch said. "They're a pretty good team and we just didn't adjust to the adversity very well."
Right fielder Dustyn Macaluso had three hits and an RBI over the two games to lead the offense for Yuba.
