40th Anniversary: Cummins

Yuba City residents Dave and Darlene Cummins, the former Darlene Dunston, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary.

The couple were married May 4, 1968, in Las Vegas and are lifelong Yuba-Sutter residents.

He is a 1961 graduate of Marysville High School. At 18, he began working for Teamsters Local 137 and retired in 1993.

A homemaker, she attended beauty school in Sacramento and attends the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Olivehurst.

Their family includes two daughters, Jacquline Perez and Lisa Lacey, both of Yuba City; and four grandchildren.

HOMELESS SHELTER?
Yuba City is considering using the former fire station No. 4 on Walton Avenue as a cold-weather shelter for homeless families. Is this a good idea?
Yes. We've gone too long with limited options for homeless families.
