Retirement: Moseley
Comments 0 | Recommend 0Longtime Yuba City resident Selenia Moseley, 61, is celebrating her retirement as a senior accounts executive from Beneficial/HSBC in Yuba City after 31 years of service.
Family, friends and co-workers honored her with dinner Sept. 11 at Cattlemens Restaurant in Roseville.
A native of Leland, Miss., she started her career in finance in 1965 as assistant manager at the Atlantic Finance Co. in Washington, D.C. She moved to the Yuba-Sutter area in 1976, working for United California Bank for one year before joining Beneficial/HSBC.
During her years at Beneficial/HSBC she received 12 Presidents Awards, two of which were national awards; the “Service of Excellence Award” in 2004; and was named the “#1 Senior Accounts Executive” for Northern California in 2005.
The awards also featured trips including to Chicago, Ill., Hawaii and Mexico.
She has one son, Kirke Thornburg of Rocklin, and one granddaughter.
Her retirement plans include continuing to help people.
