Wedding: Tipton/Osbourn

Yuba City residents Megan Grace Tipton and John Kinley Osbourn were married May 31 at Hammon Grove in Browns Valley. Pastor Wayne Vincent officiated.

A reception followed at the same site.

The bride, daughter of Bo and Beverly Tipton of Loma Rica, was attended by her cousin, Tamsen DeForest of Westwood, and Angela Goodman of Yuba City as maid and matron of honor, respectively.

Attendants also included Immagen Goodman of Yuba City and Quinn Stafford of Sutter as flower girls; and Cade Stafford of Sutter as ring bearer.

The bride, a graduate of Marysville High School, earned her bachelor’s degree in agriculture science from California State University, Chico. She is employed by the UC Cooperative Extension as the Sutter/Yuba 4-H program representative.

The groom is the son of Phill and Beverly Osbourn of Browns Valley. He was attended by his son, Logan Osbourn of Yuba City, and Robert Tremewan of Pflugerville, Texas, as best men.

The groom, a graduate of Nevada Union High School, he is also a graduate of the College of the Redwoods with an associate’s degree in criminal justice. He is employed by the city of Marysville.

The couple honeymooned in Kauai, Hawaii.

Yuba City is considering using the former fire station No. 4 on Walton Avenue as a cold-weather shelter for homeless families. Is this a good idea?
