Plumas Lake

'Supernanny' taping called off

Despite initial plans to do so, the popular reality TV show "Supernanny" ended up not taping an episode in Plumas Lake when the family pulled out of the production, according to Yuba County officials.

Citing concerns over media attention, the family told show producers Shed Media they didn't want to participate days before filming was to begin, after the production company had approached Yuba County earlier this month to get the necessary permits.

On the ABC show, "Supernanny" Jo Frost assists parents who've asked for help with their rambunctious children. The show had been set to tape last week and this week.
