Allyson Zacher and Austin Buist, residents of San Luis Obispo, plan to wed Oct. 1 in San Luis Obispo.
The bride-to-be, a 2001 graduate of West Valley High School, is the daughter of Carol Zacher and Cliff Blankenship, and Barry Zacher of Redding.
She graduated in 2010 from California State University, Chico with a major in recreation and is employed by Kynsi Winery in San Luis Obispo.
Her fiancé, a 2002 graduate of Colusa High School, is the son of Danny and Susan Buist of Colusa.
He is a 2007 graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a degree in civil engineering, and is a certified professional engineer working as a design engineer with Caltrans.
