"Bah Humbug 3 — Another New Year!" plays Wednesday through Saturday at Lee Burrows Center for the Arts in Marysville. Proceeds from the performances benefit the nonprofit Sutter Performing Arts Association's Sutter Theater Project.

"This is the third year we have been doing this," said co-director Neil Thorson, who shares directing duties with Bob Hechtman.

"Next year, we are probably going to change the name of the show because people keep thinking that this is my one-man show as Scrooge — which it is not," Thorson said, although he emcees the production in character as Scrooge.

"We have a very talented group of performers putting on this show, some of whom are returning from previous years and some of whom are new this year. We also have improved lighting and a better sound system this year," he added.

The cast includes Thorson, Jim Achilles, Brian Baggett, Stephanie Bollinger, Brant and Eleanor Bordsen, Alex Cesena, Janet Frye, Liesl McPherrin, Joe Moye, Nancy Pasternack, Carmen Smith and Yvette Velez.

Thorson said if you come to see "Bah Humbug 3," "You won't be sorry. The performers are presenting an excellent mix of familiar tunes that everyone will enjoy. There is only one Christmas-themed song: 'Santa Baby,' which we do every year.

"But other than that, the music is all familiar standards that the audience will recognize and enjoy. Christmas is over, and the new year is coming — so let's get on with it!" he said.

Songs will include "Come Fly With Me"; "I Feel Pretty"; "Que Sera, Sera"; "Mrs. Robinson"; "Count Your Blessings"; "Losing My Mind"; "Second Hand Rose"; and many other recognizable melodies.

Evening performances are at 7:30 p.m. today through Saturday. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for pre-show entertainment and refreshments. There is also a matinee performance at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Advance tickets are available at Elliot's Photo, 412 D St., Marysville, and at Smokin' Joe's Barbecue at 463 Teegarden Ave., Yuba City. Tickets can also be purchased online at suttertheater.org.

"We have sold out every show in the last two years, so get your tickets early," Thorson said.
