Man still critical after being hit, investigation continues
Yuba City man struck by vehicle in parking lot
A Yuba City man remained in critical condition Thursday, two days after he was run over by a vehicle.
Miguel Andrade, 35, remains hospitalized at Rideout Regional Medical Center in Marysville.
Andrade was run over at about 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the north parking lot of the Live Oak Apartments in Yuba City.
Yuba City police did not release any new information Thursday, including the name of the driver. The police investigation continues.
Andrade was struck by a gray Hyundai Sonata driven by a woman in her 20s, who police described as Andrade’s girlfriend. Officers said the couple was arguing and Andrade moved out in front of the vehicle as it was moving.
He was struck by the front of the car and was trapped beneath the driver’s side axle for several minutes.
It remains unclear if police believe the collision was intentional or accidental, and no arrests have been made.
