Airman from Yuba City dies at Kansas base

A Yuba City airman has died while stationed at a U.S. Air Force Base in Kansas, base officials said.

Airman Staff Sgt. Charles T. Gose, 47, of Yuba City was found unresponsive at his on-base residence Tuesday at McConnell Air Force Base and was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A spokesman for the base said Gose's death was under a routine investigation and he could not comment further. Gose was assigned to the 22nd Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at the base, which is near Wichita.

No local information on Gose could be found Wednesday.
