Basking in bingo

More than a dozen Yuba County children took part Tuesday afternoon in the latest session of Kids Summer Bingo sponsored by the Foothill Lions Club in Loma Rica.

Children played bingo, ate snacks, drank soda and won prizes during the play session at the club building on Fruitland Road.

Sessions are held from 1 to 3 p.m. each Tuesday through Aug. 12. The cost is $2 per child. Children under 7 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

HOMELESS SHELTER?
Yuba City is considering using the former fire station No. 4 on Walton Avenue as a cold-weather shelter for homeless families. Is this a good idea?
