Vehicle collides with bicyclist near Brownsville

At least one person was hurt Thursday when a vehicle struck a man riding a bicycle on La Porte Road near Brownsville, the California Highway Patrol Officer John Sowles confirmed.
The bicyclist was reportedly thrown from the bike at about 1 p.m. and initially complained of only minor injuries. However, shortly after the crash, emergency responders requested an air ambulance, according to the CHP website.
He was transported to a Sacramento-area hospital with undetermined injuries.
