Yuba County
Disaster classes open to public
A variety of classes are planned for emergency responders and the general public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Sleep Train Amphitheatre in Yuba County.
Classes at the daylong event, which is open to the public, include "Mass casualty and terrorism preparedness in Israel — lessons for California;" general disaster preparedness for EMS and health-care pro-viders; personal emergency preparedness; and disaster preparedness for pets and livestock.
"Operation Lightning Bolt Disaster Expo," a mock disaster drill not open to the public, will follow on Thursday.

Dobbins
Sportman's Day to aid foster kids
Ticket packages are available for the Camp Rockin U Sportsman's Day, a fundraiser for the program benefiting foster children.
The event is from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday at the Lake Francis Resort, 13919 Lake Frances Road, Dobbins.
Activities include lunch at noon and dinner at 6 p.m., along with a variety of sporting events, auctions and door prizes. Tickets are $75 for adults and $50 for youths.

Electronic trash disposal Saturday
A free electronics recycling event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Marysville High School.
Sponsored by Electronic Recyclers, accepted items include televisions, computer monitors, stereo equipment, cell phones and telephones.

Loma Rica
Lioness monthly breakfast Sunday
The Loma Rica Lioness Club is holding its monthly community breakfast Sunday.
The event is scheduled from 8 to 10:30 a.m. at the Foothill Lions Community Center, 5667 Fruitland Road, Loma Rica.
The meal includes sausage, ham or chicken-fried steak; eggs, cooked-to-order; biscuits and gravy, pancakes or waffles; hash browns; peaches; orange juice; and coffee.
Cost is $3.50 to $6.50.
Marysville
Spaghetti feed at VFW on May 26
A spaghetti feed is slated for May 26 at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, 211 17th St., Marysville.
Sponsored by VFW No. 948 and Ladies Auxiliary, the event is scheduled from noon to 3 p.m. The meal will be prepared by Bill Pickler.
Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children 3 to 12 years; children under 3 eat for free.
