New Colusa council takes oaths

Acknowledging the challenges and big decisions facing Colusa, a new City Council was seated Tuesday night at City Hall.

Returning Councilman Kirk Kelleher joined newcomers Marilyn Acree and Greg Ponciano in taking their oaths of office.

New city Treasurer Robin Rauch also was sworn in, replacing Gar Rourke after 17 years in the position.

Council members Kay Hosmer and Pat Landreth stepped down after losing re-election bids on Nov. 6.

Councilman Tom Reische was appointed as mayor for the fourth time, and Ponciano was selected as mayor pro temp.

The other member on the council is Donna Critchfield.
