Briefs: No one hurt in drive-by shooting
Multiple shots were fired into a Live Oak home on Sunday night, but nobody was hurt, the Sutter County Sheriff's Department reported.
It is not clear if the drive-by shooting was gang-related and the investigation is still in the early stages, sheriff's spokeswoman Brenda Baker said Monday.
Just before 9 p.m., up to three rounds were fired through the window of a home in the 10000 block of Nevada Street, but the exact number of shots fired remains under investigation, Baker said.
Deputies said the family was watching television at the time and said it was fortunate nobody was injured.
The Sheriff's Department declined to release victim information Monday, saying it is still unclear who the intended target may have been.
Anybody with information about the shooting is asked to contact the Sutter County Sheriff's Department at 822-7307.
