Gubernatorial candidate Whitman names county chairs

Gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman has named chairs for her campaign in Sutter, Yuba and Colusa counties, with some familiar names on the list.

Former Yuba County Supervisor Don Schrader is the chair in that county, and Franklin Elementary School District trustee Coleen Morehead is the chair in Sutter County. Colusa County Supervisor Kim Vann is the chair in that county.

Whitman, a former CEO of eBay, named 11 regional chairs and 75 county chairs and co-chairs this week for roles across the state. Her rivals in the GOP primary are Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner and former U.S. Rep. Tom Campbell, both of whom visited the Mid-Valley area this year.
