Veterans Day parade and events
The annual Veterans Day Parade in downtown Marysville starts at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Veterans Day, and travels on D Street in downtown Marysville.
Activities around the parade that day include a Flags of Freedom display honoring local veterans, plus a Freedom Shrine sponsored by the Exchange Club of Marysville; breakfast at the Elks Lodge; and lunch at the American Legion Linda Post.
Local events on Wednesday include:
• Annual Veterans Day Parade — 11 a.m. on D Street, starting at Seventh Street, in downtown Marysville. Call 743-2390.
• S.O.S. Breakfast — 7 to 10 a.m. at the Elks Lodge, 920 D St., Marysville. Donation: $3. Call 743-5134.
• Flag of Freedom Display — Opening ceremonies at 10 a.m. at park, northeast corner of Third and D streets, Marysville. Sponsored by Exchange Club of Marysville.

• Museum of the Forgotten Warriors — Open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 5865 A Road, Linda.
• Colusa County Veterans Day ceremony — 9 a.m. at the Arbuckle Golf Club, 5918 Hillgate Road, Arbuckle.

• Opening ceremonies for Vietnam memorial traveling tribute and Cost of Freedom display — 2 p.m. Thursday at the Colusa Indian Community Center, 3740 Highway 45, Colusa.
