Rollover crash victim identified
A Woodland man killed in a rollover accident on Cranmore Road in south Sutter County was identified Monday as Patrick Lee Mulcahy, 63.
Mulcahy, of the 100 block of Eliot Street, was driving south on the levee road at 8:25 p.m. Saturday when he lost control of his 1990 Chevrolet pickup, which rolled down the side of the levee and hit a utility pole.
Mulcahy, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered a head injury and two broken legs. He was declared dead at the scene.
Marysville
Tax Day Tea Party, April 10
The Yuba-Sutter Tea Party Patriots are planning a Tax Day Tea Party on April 10 at the Government Center in Marysville to precede the Tax Day Rally in Sacramento.
The group's monthly meeting is from 6-8 p.m. today at the Yuba City Corporation Yard, 1185 Market St., Yuba City.
April 15 Tax Day Rally in Sacramento is expected to include Tea Party Patriots from throughout the state.
Colusa County
2-day closure of Lurline Road
Roadwork to replace a pipe will close a section of Lurline Road in Colusa County from 7 a.m. Wednesday through 4 p.m. Thursday.
The road is closed between Jamison Road and the 2047 Canal. Work is under the direction of Colusa County Public Works.
Yuba City
2010 Walk M.S. set for April
Participants and volunteers are sought for the 2010 Walk M.S. on April 24 in Yuba City.
Volunteers will meet at 11:30 a.m. this Saturday.
The annual event, to raise awareness of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, will start at Sam Brannan Park on Gray Avenue, go past Yuba City High School and return to the park for the closing ceremony.
The day includes a continental breakfast before the walk and lunch and entertainment afterward.
