Briefs: Youth officer workshop set for Dec. 1
Participants' roles and team building are among the topics of a board training workshop for all youth officers serving on a board in the community.
Hosted by the Sutter/Yuba Friday Night Live's REACH Coalition for Youth Development, the workshop is 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Dec. 1 at FNL, 301 Fourth St., Marysville.

Man stabbed on Monday night
An east Linda man was stabbed on Monday night on Arboga Road, the Yuba County Sheriff's Department reported.
The name of the 36-year-old victim was not released on Tuesday.
His injuries were not considered life threatening, Sheriff Steve Durfor said in a press release.
No arrests have been made, Lt. Damon Gil added
Deputies were called around 9:30 p.m. to the 5500 block of Arboga Road. The victim was standing outside a home, bleeding from both arms, the Sheriff's Department said.
He was treated at the scene and later transported to Rideout Regional Medical Center.

Driver in deadly crash identifed
The investigation continues into Sunday's fatal pedestrian traffic collision in Yuba City.
Police on Tuesday identified the driver of the vehicle that struck and killed a 78-year-old man as Dave Roda of Yuba City.
Roda, 35, was driving a 1998 Dodge pickup north on Gray Avenue around 5:20 p.m. when he struck Antonio Jimenez, who was crossing the road from Forbes Avenue, according to the Police Department.
Jimenez was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sgt. Michael Green said investigators are looking into the incident and awaiting toxicology test results, which could take more than a week to process.
Officers have previously said alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.
Color Run/Walk signups begin
Registration is under way for the second annual Resolution 5K Color Run/Walk to benefit the Harmony Health Family Resource Center in Linda.
The registration fee is $25. Participants registering before Nov. 30 receive a T-shirt.
The run/walk on Jan. 5 is at 9 a.m., with registration starting at 8 a.m., at First and D streets in Marysville.

Christmas parade entries sought
Parade entries for the 44th annual Olivehurst Christmas parade are being accepted until 4 p.m. Dec. 7.
The fee is $10. This year's theme is A Christmas Story, based on the popular film from 1983.
The parade starts at 11 a.m. Dec. 8 on Olivehurst Avenue from Ninth Avenue to Chestnut.
Signups are in front of the Olivehurst Public Utility District building on Olivehurst Avenue.

Craft fair set at Elks Lodge
A craft fair is set 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 1 at the Marysville Elks Lodge, 920 D St., Marysville.
Admission is free.
Featuring more than 30 local crafters and vendors, the fundraiser is sponsored by the Marysville Emblem Club No. 384.
All proceeds will benefit the club's scholarship program for high school seniors.

Licensed cosmetologists and estheticians are sought to volunteer for the Look Good, Feel Good program sponsored by the American Cancer Society.
Volunteers would dedicate a few hours a month to help local cancer patients deal with appearance-related side effects from cancer treatment.
