Miss Bliss event set for Saturday at Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds
Forty-five vendors are expected to be on hand at the Miss Bliss Golden State Women's Expo on Saturday at the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds.
Services, including permanent makeup, massage, nail design and spray tanning, will be done on site at the expo.
The stage will have presentations every half-hour, such as noninvasive laser liposuction and acupuncture. There will also be displays and demonstrations on spa therapy, skin tightening procedures, laser hair removal and salon treatments.
"We also have a fashion show that's a handbag, shoe and eyewear fashion show," event co-chairwoman Kary Aldridge said.
The show is being sponsored by Marshall's of Yuba City and Three Rivers Optometry.
The winner of an online contest received a makeover Thursday, and will be at the event to reveal her new look.
Miss Bliss opens at 10 a.m. and continues until 5 p.m. Admission is $6.
Some of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the Rideout Health Foundation and to Newspapers in Education. The Appeal-Democrat is organizing the event.
