Briefs: Sutter High boosters recycling ewaste
People can clear out old electronic equipment to start the new year and raise funds for Sutter Union High School during a free ewaste collection this month at the school.
Hosted by the school's Boosters Club, the ewaste collection is from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Jan. 12 at the school's parking lot, 2665 Acacia Ave., Sutter.
Items that can be accepted include monitors, televisions, printers, copiers, small household appliances, Christmas lights and pool pumps.
Items that cannot be accepted include large household appliances, hazardous household waste and fluorescent light bulbs.
The ewaste collection is sponsored by California Electronic Asset Recovery. For more information, call event coordinator Debra DeWitt at 788-5230.

Theater Gallery has new exhibit
The sculptures and paintings of artists Crystal Hollister and Shannon Granados of Lightningbug Kilnworks, are on display at the Theater Gallery for the month of January.
Their art includes small sculptures of whimsical animals, trees, fish, cars and mythical creatures.
The gallery is open from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and is at 752 Plumas St., Yuba City.

Old electronics benefit center
Center for Spiritual Living is hosting a Free eWaste Collection Day from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Jan 19 in the old Mervyn's parking lot, Third and D streets, Marysville.
Electronics to be collected include monitors, televisions, computers, mice, keyboards, printers, cellphones and small appliances.
The event is co-sponsored by the California Electronic Asset Recovery.
Free pick-up of ewaste can be arranged.
