Good Sam Club seeking new members
The Tri-County Sams Chapter of the Good Sam Club held its January brunch and meeting at the Rolling Hills Casino buffet in Corning with eight rigs represented, one guest rig and one other guest in attendance.
Don and Eileen Gerfen of Chico were there as as potential new members of the chapter and Nancy Mattos of Orland was a guest of member Wayne Barry.
A moment of silence was observed for Jean Wagner of Gerber, who died in December. She will be remembered by all.
Normally, the first campout is in February, and sometimes it has to be canceled because of rain, or everyone ends up staying in the rigs all day. So it was decided to cancel the campout in Redding for February and meet at the Iron Skillet in Corning for lunch and hold the meeting.
Anyone owning a self-contained RV that would like to go on monthly campouts with a great small group of campers is encouraged to call Wagon Master Lisa Sol at 385-1344 or President Richard Sol at 200-7403.
The group is encouraging interested RVers to contact us as we are still trying to increase our membership and several new campers have expressed an interest.
