Club News: Good Sams hold September campout
The Tri-County Sams Chapter of the Good Sam Club held its September campout at the Trinity Lake KOA at Trinity Center with six member rigs and two guest rigs in attendance.
Members met for breakfast at the Cozy Diner in Red Bluff on Thursday morning and then traveled to the campground.
On Friday night, the campground held a wine and cheese tasting party. On Friday and Saturday nights, the group had a campfire and roasted marshmellows.
During the campout, members spent time watching deer walk through the campgrounds and did some hiking at Trinity Lake.
On Saturday morning, members held their usual "meet and greet" with great food and socializing. That night, they held their steak barbecue potluck.
Sharon Furia, the trailboss, decorated with yellow table cloths, yellow cups filled with candy and nuts and had garlands of autumn colored leaves down the center of the tables.
The Oct. 11-13 campout will be held at the Hat Creek Rancheria with a catered dinner on Saturday night. There will be no potluck this month.
Anyone owning a self-contained RV who would like to go on monthly campouts are encouraged to call Wagon Master Lisa Sol at 385-1344 or President Richard Sol at 200-7403.
If unable to reach them, call former Wagon Master Vic Dickison at 824-3081.
