Man reportedly pulls out knife during eviction

An Olivehurst man who was being evicted from his residence Tuesday morning is facing an assault charge after allegedly threatening his landlord with a knife.

Enrique Hernandez-Hernandez, 24, of the 1900 block of Chapman Street, was being held today in Yuba County Jail on $150,000 bail.

An argument began when the landlord and his son arrived while Hernandez-Hernandez and his girlfriend were packing their belongings. Hernandez-Hernandez alleged the knife incident occurred after the son waved or threw a large object at him, apparently a pinball game, said Yuba County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman Melanie Oakes.

No one was injured.

Hernandez-Hernandez was booked into the jail on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and criminal threats after the landlord and son filled out a citizen's arrest form. The son said Hernandez-Hernandez threatened to kill him, according to Oakes.
