Fire damages Live Oak home
Fire damaged a small home Friday in Live Oak.
The home, a garage converted to a living quarters in the 2000 block of Date Street, had about “25 percent” damage, Sutter County Fire Department Capt. Rick Fenn said.
A financial damage estimate was not available Friday.
The main home in front of the apartment was not damaged, authorities said.
About 11 firefighters from Sutter County, the Oswald-Tudor Fire Department and the Calfire Butte County Department responded to the home at about 1 p.m. and remained on scene until around 3 p.m.
One person, whose name was not available, was living in the home, but escaped without injury, Fenn said.
The cause and origin of the fire remains under investigation, but does not appear suspicious, according to the Sutter County Fire Department.
