Briefs: Men break in to Marysville home, steal pot, cash
A 21-year-old said three men forced their way early Tuesday through the back window of a house, struck with him with a baseball bat, held him at gunpoint and took money and three jars of marijuana from him, according to Marysville police.
The victim said he was alone when the three men came about 4:30 a.m. to the 1300 block of Walnut Street near East 12th. They were black and one had an AK-47 style firearm tattooed on his face, the man said. The 21-year-old said he had lived in Marysville for about three months, police said.
The victim sustained a minor injury to his head and emergency medical personnel treated and released him at the scene.
A man at the residence said Tuesday evening that that victim had left.
"He's gone," the man said before walking back inside, "It's all good."

Yuba County
Home values down nearly 2 percent
The new report from Yuba County Assessor Bruce Stottlemeyer on property values shows the overall dollar figure dropped by 1.98 percent from 2010-11 to the current fiscal year.
After figuring in exemptions and reimbursements and adding the state utility tax rolls, the total value is $4.75 billion, down 1.98 percent from the same figure last year.
The assessor's office releases a roll summary annually to provide a sense of what the county can expect in property tax revenues in the coming year. Yuba County, like many others where homebuilding in the last decade, is still hampered by the subsequent housing market bust.
