Knitting in the Navy

The U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters Chorus performed a concert Wednesday night at the Marysville Community Auditorium.
About 800 people showed up for the free community concert. The Navy established the all-male Sea Chanters in 1956. Women joined in 1980.
Kristin Pagent, Jennifer Stothoff and Amanda Polychronis, all musicians 1st Class with the chorus, spent some time before the concert knitting backstage. Stothoff said knitting is a hobby many in the group have picked up while on tour.
