Quilt display opens Friday

"Stitches from our Past," a historical quilt display opens Friday at the Sacramento Valley Museum in Williams. The display will be set up in the museum's auditorium.

Tickets for the event, set from 4 to 8 p.m., are $10. The evening also includes gourmet coffee and desserts.

The quilt exhibit will be on display from the museum's opening day of the season, March 15, to May 31. Featured quilts include the Grimes Ladies Aid Signature quilts from 1908 and 2008.

Regular museum admission is $3. The museum, located on Business Highway 20, is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Yuba City

Lions' Polynesian dinner Saturday

Tickets are available for the fourth annual Polynesian Dinner sponsored by the Sunset Buttes Lions Club.

Slated Saturday, dinner will be served at 7 p.m., with Hawaiian entertainment at 8 p.m., at Whiteaker Hall, 44 Second St., Yuba City.

The menu includes vegetable egg rolls, chicken adobo, sweet and sour pork, rice, salads and dessert. Takeout is available.

Loma Rica

Free Easter party for kids March 15

A free Easter party for kids is planned on March 15 at the Foothill Lions Community Center, 5667 Fruitland Road, Loma Rica.

Children are asked to bring their own baskets for the event, scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon. The day includes an Easter egg hunt, visit with the Easter Bunny, games and refreshments.

Dobbins-Oregon House

Tractor Days signups open

Registration from tractor exhibitors is being accepted for the fourth Annual Vintage Tractor Days of Dobbins-Oregon House. Vendor space is also available.

The event will be held May 3 and 4 at Eventful Acres in Oregon House. All proceeds will go to the final construction of the new Dobbins-Oregon House Community Center.

Marysville

Chinese museum dinner March 8

A limited number of tickets are available for the Chinese American Museum of Northern California Award Dinner on March 8, during the Bok Kai Festival.

Steve Yee will receive the Pioneer Award at the dinner at 6 p.m. at the Szechwan Restaurant, 2234 First St., Marysville.

Yee has led efforts to reclaim the history of the Chinese Americans and increase awareness about the Chinese experience in California's history.

Tickets are $12 and can be purchased at the museum, 232 First St.
