Events abound to help you ring in the new year in Yuba-Sutter
Residents can greet the new year in various ways, with music and dance to a dip in an ice cold swimming pool, in activities planned in the community.
"A New Year's Cabaret — Bah Humbug" — 7:30 p.m. today and Monday and 2 p.m. Sunday at the Lee Burrows Center for the Arts, 630 E St., Marysville.
Tickets are $13 for seniors and students and $15 for adults and can be purchased online at suttertheater.org. Proceeds benefit the restoration efforts for the Sutter Theater on Plumas Street in Yuba City.

New Year's Eve Concert — 7 p.m. Monday at Crossroads Community Church, 445 B St. in Yuba City, featuring Dennis Agajanian and comedian Nazareth, a chili, soup and cornbread cookoff, games, food and desserts.

New Year's Eve Dance — 8 p.m. at the American Legion Post 807, 5477 Feather River Blvd., Linda. Tickets are $10. Call 742-6989 for more information.
New Year's Eve Dance and Party — 8:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m. Monday, doors open at 7 p.m., at the Foothill Lions clubhouse, 5667 Fruitland Road, Loma Rica; for ages 21 and over.
Tickets are $10 per person.
The site is also offering overnight camping for those attending the festivities.

The Grand Island Firefighters New Year's Breakfast — 8 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Sacramento River Fire District, Grand Island Station, 243 Main St., Grimes.
The event is free, with donations accepted. All proceeds go toward scholarships or community programs.

The 2013 Polar Bear Plunge and Slide — 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, registration at 8 a.m., at Gauche Aquatic Park, 421 C St., Yuba City.
Registration is $30.
